At Early Essentials we are a team of Behaviour Consultants that are passionate about teaching children the tools and skills that they will need to achieve success in their everyday life.  Whether your child has a new diagnosis or is struggling in a certain area we are able to help guide you and your child through skill development and hands on training.

We use behaviour based assessment and teaching tools to meet your child at their current skill level and help them in achieving the essential skills that they require to get the most out of each and every day!

We work with children aged 2-15+ with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as well as a range of other complex needs.  Please contact us for more information on how we can help your family!

Let's Build Skills Together!

Drawing Together

At Early Essentials we strive to help the children that we work with to achieve success and get the most out of their daily lives.  We do this by creating individualized intervention plans that are built upon evidence based tools and strategies leading to meaningful and positive changes in behaviour and skill sets.  Our goal is to empower families and children by delivering service with compassion and value.

We are happy to be the leading force in helping you build a team of caring and experienced professionals around your child.  Your child’s team should include a Behaviour Consultant (BC), Behaviour Interventionist (BI) and many will also include a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), Occupational Therapist (OT) and/or Physiotherapist (PT).  Ongoing training, support and goal development across multiple skill areas will ensure that your child is able to meet and exceed their program goals.

Let’s get started today!

Behaviour Consulting Services

At Early Essentials we deliver evidence based practice in order to create child focused, behaviour based programming that is taught and implemented in your home or community environment. All of our programming is designed to be play based so that your child is motivated to engage and learn!  We believe that natural environment teaching allows for development of relevant and meaningful skills in a place that is comfortable and familiar for your child. This also allows us to teach you how to help your child flourish as they grow.

Below are just a handful of common skill areas.  Each child's programming is individualized and created based on family goals and priorities. These goals will of course change and re-prioritize as your child and their skills develop.  We are excited to be able to grow alongside your family and provide support every step of the way!

Erin Bishop, M.A., BCBA
Board Certified Behaviour Analyst

Erin is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) that has been working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder for over 19 years!  Erin is also a Registered Autism Service Provider and can be found on the current RASP list.

Erin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2004 and most recently a Masters Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Ball State University in 2015.  Having worked in a variety of settings including public schools and private therapy centres, she brings with her a deep knowledge base and valuable experience.  This direct experience has taught Erin that children learn, and retain, skills most effectively when they are taught and practiced in natural play based environments. This allows new behaviours to be automatically reinforced by parents, caregivers and siblings each and every day.  She looks forward to meeting new families and helping them get started on their lifelong path of learning and success!
